Aggregate / discovery site StumbleUpon recently had a redesign/rebrand worth checking out. Although it probably won’t pull you away from Tumblr, the whole package is a much more simplified, user-friendly, and streamlined update.

Google’s ‘Think Quarterly’ journal presents a very good solution to balancing the relationship between Print and Web presentation.
The print edition is a beautifully designed hardback with evident levels of craft inside it inclusive of great editorial illustrations. No obvious means how to get hold of a copy means I’ll be stuck on the web version, but thankfully the design of the web edition is on par- observing it’s medium and adapting accordingly.

4CP/ ‘Four Colour Process’, is a site dedicated to high resolution scans of vintage comic books and the CMYK print process. It’s great to see how the incredibly systematic process of CMYK printing works in order to create drawn comic book artworks.

A website intended for designers to share the music they listen to whilst working away. Annoyingly encountered after putting together a similar project with some friends last year. The execution of this is great though, so go check it out.

Aaron Bloom created a lovely aesthetic around the concept of the ‘9 Word Story Competition’ for ARCADE (quarterly northwest design and architecture journal).
The presentation has a great information graphics feel whilst remaining centric to writing, and also translating really successfully to web layouts .
