Mike Bayne is not a photographer, he is a fine art painter. Specialising in images of the everyday and mundane, the very selection of his medium to present such images reveals detail in places that would otherwise be overlooked.

François-Charles (French design/everything blogger) has just put up this amazing piece of vintage car advertising…

I found these vintage Citroën brochures in my father’s studio. He worked on them in the 60s when he was working at « Delpire », one of the most creative french agencies of that period.

It’s interesting to see how pamphlets like these are just so different now. Incredibly glossy, with loads of close up shots of the car often driving in a desert or on an empty motorway.
