Jimmy Turrell’s design/illustration portfolio includes this cover for Little White Lies Magazine that was included in the magazine’s 70s film retrospective exhibition at London’s Kemistry Gallery.

Patrick Joust has an insightful photo set on his flickr account of images all taken in and around Baltimore.
One of the highest praises of David Simon’s highly acclaimed TV show The Wire, is how honest and balanced it’s presentation of the city is, to the point where the city becomes a character in itself. Joust’s photography captures a similar feel I think.

Demian Conrad Design have put together an extensive campaign for the Luff Underground Film & Music Feastival.
The concept centres around presenting the events’ organisers with an additional layer of horror exposed by red lensed glasses.
The technique has been used before but the strength of the piece lies in how consistent it is along with the rest of the style surrounding its presentation.

The Kaaz Yearbook is a series of portraits taken by Simon Duhamel, in order to promote Kaaz Hair Salon. Great juxtaposition of the clean cut styling of 1950s America with incredibly striking hair dos to make a simple and rad campaign.
Check out some more wonderful hairstyles here.
Illustrator Steven Bonner has made a lovely set of portraits in the style of an etch-a-sketch, and I hate to think how long they took him.
See more here. He has a big variety of styles and work worth looking through while you’re there…
Jasper James’ photography portfolio includes these awesome portraits / cityscapes really adding a great human element to what would otherwise be an incredibly industrial and characterless image.
