Most who read this are probably more than happy with their Flickr accounts- but for those looking for something a bit different, and with more of a focus on photography portfolios rather than photostreams take a look at 500px.

Graphic designer Morey Talmor’s print project ‘A Nightmare Trip To Hell’ is a well executed and fun chronicling a fever ridden flight from Barcelona to Tel Aviv.

Foundry Collective are a design agency based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

If I’m really honest I couldn’t pick one piece of work that I liked enough to write about - and the group have a combination of a illustration/design work that’s all quite similar. Their branding projects are all consistent in quality, however all quite safe an similar in style. It’s quite an illustrative approach to graphic design ie. have a style, and people hire you for that style and to produce work that looks like your other work.

That all said, they have a very well designed website and a nicely built body of work. See what you make of the work here.

Good logo design is tough stuff, and Allan Peters ‘logos’ section on his portfolio is a gallery of things that hits a lot of strengths important in a logo mark. Some are better than others, and the ones that show a few variations are the most interesting in regards to seeing a bit behind the scenes of the process.
Take a look at the whole set here.

Brian Kaas designed this fantastic emblem for popular NPR radio show This American Life (of which I have a well known love) when they had a t-shirt competition.

It’s time to come back to Tumblr! So much has happened since my last post but here are a few Graphics related highlights of what’s been going on.
I graduated from University College Falmouth with a BA(Hons) in Graphic Design .
I made myself a website and finaly updated my portfolio.
I qualified to become a member of the ISTD - normal people think this means I’m ill.
I finally sorted through some of my photographs.
I moved to Paris to work in an English church and work Freelance in graphic design.
I’m massively ‘behind’ on the internet, but Feedly has been logging all I’ve been missing over the last few months and I’m about ready for a catchup. It’s incredibly exciting being out in Paris, and it’s certainly unlike anything I’ve done before. We’ll see where it goes – my French remains terrible…
I am AVAILABLE for freelance Graphic Design work!

Frank Chimero seems to be a fairly sought after chap in today’s world of design and commentary. This small past project seems to perfectly encapsulate why, focusing on 16 thoughts for creatives as they work in their craft.
What works so well within Chimero’s work, is that he uses everything he encounters to inform his work. Just taking a look over his website shows this, giving focus toward all areas of interest, such as book, video and audio recommendation.
See the rest of the 16 tips here along with the rest of the work.
Read this great interview on Grain Edit about Chimero’s work and process.
Watch this lecture about ‘The Shape of Design’, a lecture that is now also the starting point of a new book he is writing.
Read more about his recommends etc here.

Designer Cody Hamilton worked in creating the branding identity of ‘Public School’, an is an Austin-based creative collective comprised of designers, photographers, and illustrators.
The design is unashamedly preppy, and lends well towards the slightly niche and cliquey idea behind a collective. Neat but with character thanks to the rubber stamps.
Check out more of the design here (scroll down).

Design Studio GrandPeople is becoming a constant encounter in my browser, and rightly so. A variety of projects which all enforce a great sense of identity and strengths in the areas of print and branding. Their website is a great example of presenting work well, making full use of screen size.
I struggled with picking out a project, but pictured above is a record sleeve designed for Norwegian band The Alexandra Quartet. Read more about it as well as check out the rest of the work here.

Spanish designer Atipo has a great portfolio available on his website, including this piece of redesigned film posters to match the styles of designers of each era the film was made. Including one of my favourites ‘Some Like It Hot’.
All the projects are worth a look through, do it here.

The Jazz 09 Journal was put together for the Guimaraes Jazz event roughly this time last year. Broadsheets feel a bit done these days, but this is undeniably brilliant use of the format.
Atelier Martino&Jaña’s portfolio has been taking up much of this morning’s procrastinating. Every project has such a great execution of typographic detailing, whilst all being quite individual. See all of the work here.
