Vivan Maier’s photography is occassionally hit and miss but she had an undoubted eye for shooting in the streets of 1950s America. The story behind the discovery of her work as well as the overall quality of the work makes scrolling through the images all the more interesting.

Simon Walker is better known for his t-shirt designs than his type and logo work. To remedy this, take a look at some of his hand rendered type logos and experiments.
It’s a great collection, and although it seems to adhere to a quite common style, it’s done with commandeering skill. Check it here.
This incredible Bernard Ratzer “Plan of the City of New York” map in its 1770 state was discovered in the first half of last year. After much restoration work it can now be enjoyed here.
Triboro Design are a husband and wife graphic design team, who created this fantastic large spread invitation for a group exhibition at the Roth gallery.
Great use of type and colour, balanced really well on the page.

A trailer for ‘Influencers’ went up today and is now on my list of things to look out for in the near future.
INFLUENCERS is a short documentary that explores what it means to be an influencer and how trends & creativity become contagious today in music and fashion. Directed by Paul Rojanathara and Davis Johnson, the film is a Polaroid snapshot of New York influential creatives (advertising, design, fashion and entertainment) who are shaping today’s pop culture.
