Opera Live have put together two fantastic ‘trailers’ in order to make Opera more accessible to people.
The trailers have been put together with lovely animated illustrations that guide you through the main plot points of the narrative.
Each is about a minute and can be viewed here.

Olly Moss is the next artist to design a poster for the Alamo Drafthouse in Texas.
The next thing I believe he has coming up is the poster for the next episode of podcast A Life Well Wasted.
If I ever make it out there this cinema is a sure visit…

Yulia Brodskaya was the artist hired to create the image to front the poster for this year’s Stern Grove music festival (a free annual festival in San Fransisco).
A fine choice. See more of her work here.

Google Chrome: Faster than a Potato/Sound Waves/Lightning.

Although it hasn’t convinced me to get off of Firefox right away and get on Chrome, good fun all the same…

‘The Curiosity Shoppe has recently teamed up with artists, Luke Bartels and Jeff Canham, to offer a neighborhood of wooden bird houses. This particular neighborhood is on the seedy part of town of course, and includes a bail bond office, a foreclosed home, a strip club, a liquor store and a pawn shop. These bird houses measure only 5-7” square and vary in height to about 11” tall.’

Purchase your bird boxes here, for a mere $675

The first issue of the 48 Hour Magazine has now been made and is available to buy at MagCloud. It can be bought here.
The theme for the first issue (issue Zero) was ‘Hustle’. You can flick through previews of the pages over at the MagCloud page. It looks like there’s a really eclectic mixture of content to go through. I’m unsure as to whether or not a more stylised focus would be more beneficial for the publication, but then again that somewhat takes away the ‘anyone and everyone can be involved’ approach that they’re advertising.
