Design student Sergey Grigoryan has been receiving some buzz around his Vitale Dog Food packaging designs.
His minimalist packaging and animals closeup with a wide-angle lens is a winning combination.

Tommy Perez designed this entire set of complementary items for the leavers Prom for the school his wife teaches at. Designed around the theme ‘Flying First Class’ tickets were designed like airline boarding passes, with t-shirts and paper airplanes to help with promotion for the event.

The logo design for multi-platform digital notes tool ‘Evernote’ caught my eye a while back. A distinctive visual which also makes suitable reference to what the software actually does is surprisingly difficult to execute well and this one manages it quite effortlessly…

Garcon Grotesque is an up and coming font by Thomas Jockin - designed to be a more usable version of Copperplate Gothic, or as Jockin puts it
Garcon takes artistic license on Copperplate Gothic to make a grotesque for today’s designer.

Created by author William Joyce and director Brandon Oldenburg ‘The Fantastic Flying Books of Morris Lessmore’ is an interactive story with beautiful animation and dynamic storytelling that lets readers really dig into the narrative.

Fonts In Use have put together a nice breakdown of the recent Fortune 500 edition. Lots of typographic work, some better than others - but interesting to see a good variety of typefaces working together on the same page. It doesn’t always work but the overall effort pulls it out the bag judging by the pictures.

CHEVROLET Viking truck (1960)
Graphic Designer Christian Annyas has put together a small retrospective of Chevrolet speedometer designs from the history of the car manufacturer.
There’s an amazing consistency amongst the designs until you hit the digital age. It’s a real shame I can’t find higher-res versions…

Michael De Pippo designed a whole set of posters celebrating a retro muppet concert of in-house muppet band Dr-Teeth & The Electric Mayhem.
I always forget how great so many aspects of The Muppet Show are. Animal drumming for Rita Moreno is a must see if you never have.
